At The Lake — Michigan FAQ

Light rain with intermittent patterns will NOT cancel the event. Steady rain, lightning, and high winds WILL cancel the event. We will contact you via email and text using the information you provide upon sign up. We will also be continuously updating the website in the go/no go section for status updates.

Yes. Upon arriving at the camp there will be a parking attendant to direct you where to go to unload and park. At the unload site, our guest ambassadors will be waiting to get you checked in and having fun as soon as humanly possible!

Yes. We will supply ice, water, and sports drinks. Snacks will be available throughout the entire day, as well as a catered lunch served at 12pm. Cold treats will be served from 4–5pm on Saturday during social hour before the Ski Show.

Lunch Menu (both days): TBD — check back soon!

If you have special dietary restrictions or allergy concerns, please consider bringing your own lunch.

We have two ADA facility restrooms and two ADA temporary restrooms on site.

Absolutely! We actually encourage it. With our planned scheduling and attendance, each guest should have the chance for more than one behind-the-boat run. Each run lasts about 15 minutes. Shoreline activities are a great way to fill time in between your runs!

Yes. We work closely with the local Police/Fire station and have a fully equipped paramedic staff on site throughout the day should any care be needed.

You can volunteer one or both days! We no longer offer partial-day volunteering. Just pick your three preferred events and the days you can help in the volunteer section. We will do our best to accommodate — because we love helping those who help our athletes!

You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer and able to perform the tasks outlined in the position description. Some roles — like operating watercraft — require a driver's license, but most positions don't have additional age restrictions.

You sure can! We have both in-water and on-land opportunities. Just visit the volunteer page — we have positions clearly sorted out so you can find the right fit for you!

No. You simply need to have yourself and your equipment insured as you normally would. The Anthros Foundation carries its own policy as well as an additional rider specific to this event. Great question to ask — and as always, let's be safe and never rush anything out there!
